New Girls On The Block: The season's hottest rookies (Part 1)

The spring summer 13 runways have been filled more than ever with a big batch of fresh faces, at the same time we wonder whatever happened to Freja Beha or Daphne Groeneveld who were all over the place a couple of seasons ago. A model's life is ephemeral, and now more than ever, unless you become a true icon like the top tops. Here are some of the girls that we will probably be seeing a lot more of during the upcoming seasons:

Vanessa Axente, 16, Hungary:
She has been modeling since she was 14, but she really caught everyone's eye earlier this year when she opened as an exclusive for Prada AW12 and later landed the campaign. Having walked this season for the likes of Alexander McQueen, Miu Miu, Chloé, Valentino, Dior, Loewe, Celine, Nina Ricci, Giles and Calvin Klein just to name a few, Vanessa is perhaps the hottest face of spring.

Mackenzie Drazan, 17, California, U.S:
The equestrian star has been sought after by model scouts since she was 13, but her parents decided it was best for Mackenzie to put off modeling until she finished school. In 2010, while still a sophomore, she was sent to Paris and was cast for the Valentino Haute Couture show.  Now that the school duties have been fulfilled, the runways can't get enough of the freckled, blue-eyed beauty.

Daniela Braga, 19, Sao Paulo, Brasil:
Soon after being scouted last year while working in a local drugstore, Daniela began walking the New York shows and fast-tracked to the top as an exclusive for Givenchy doing the Autumn Winter 2012 ready to wear show, Resort 2013, Autumn Winter 2012 Haute Couture and became one of the faces of the campaign. Her stunning bone structure and emerald eyes along with her energy and charisma are bound to make her part of the Brazilian supermodel hall of fame. She dreams of becoming one of Victoria's Secret Angels; I would say that's a done deal for Daniela.

Her unique classic "Audrey Hepburn" like  allure has made her one of the most sought after models of the spring summer 2013 season. She was cast as an exclusive for Calvin Klein and was granted the honor of opening and closing the show. In total she racked up no less than twenty shows that include names like Givenchy, Chanel, Prada, Miu Miu, Loewe, Dolce & Gabbana and Alexander McQueen. Not bad for her first official season.
